Dr. Jacob Adserballe
Veterinary Team Leader
Dr. Jacob Adserballe came to Lethbridge in 2002. He specializes in preventative health, emergency services and enjoys a focus on soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. He is an experienced veterinary team leader and has recently completed a Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA) at Cornell University.

Madeleine Baldwin
Practice Manager
Madeleine Baldwin has a masters in urban planning and an interest in design. She is the Practice Manager of Lethbridge Pet Hospital, taking pride in ensuring that patients’ needs are met and that employees experience an excellent work environment.

Shalyssa Mackenzie
Head Receptionist
Shalyssa Mackenzie, our cheerful head receptionist, is full of positive energy. With extensive customer service experience, Shalyssa brings her love of people, pets and organization to Lethbridge Pet Hospital. She ensures that every visitor and furry friend feels welcomed and well-cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.

Taylor Forchuk
Receptionist
Taylor Forchuk is an experienced customer service expert and a certified animal lover. Taylor’s calm and cheerful demeanor helps our clients and their pets feel comfortable and welcome no matter what brings them to Lethbridge Pet Hospital. Taylor is also currently working on her business and accounting degree at Lethbridge Polytechnic.

Elnaz Shariati
Veterinary Student
Elnaz Shariati is an experienced veterinarian who recently moved to Canada from Tehran, where she ran her own pet hospital. She is excited to work towards becoming a registered Canadian veterinarian. With a dedicated interest in surgery, she is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients.

Tiva Gorji
Veterinary Student
Tiva Gorji recently moved to Canada from Tehran, where he managed a pet hospital with his partner Elnaz. He is looking forward to becoming a registered Canadian veterinarian. With a special interest in birds and exotic animals, he is focused on delivering high quality veterinary care to his patients and clients.

Lilly Somarriba is a recent graduate from the veterinary technology program at Olds college. Lilly brings her coolheadedness and care for pets to any veterinary challenge and is looking forward to growing her knowledge as a working veterinary technologist.

Beth Rice
Veterinary Technician
Beth Rice graduated from the veterinary technology program at Lakeland College in 2022. Beth has worked with both large and small animals for three years before she joined our team. We are excited to have Beth at Lethbridge Pet Hospital where she shares her experience, diligence and commitment to high quality care with all the patients she helps.

Tamara Wentzell
Veterinary Technician Student
Tamara Wentzell started with us as a receptionist and inventory specialist. She is now embarking on a veterinary technician program through Penn Foster. We are excited to have her bring her clinic experience and love of animals to her work providing personal, high-quality care to our patients and clients.

Tianna has years of experience as a dog trainer. She is also a very competent and dedicated customer service representative. Tianna is just starting out on her education as a veterinary technician student so she is able to lend her positive and helpful attitude to both the front and back of the hospital.

Saphire Cunningham-Oostlander
Pet Groomer
Saphire has been a pet groomer since 2022. With a calm and warm demeanor and a love for animals, Sapphire brings her focus and gentle touch to ensure pets look and feel their best when they emerge from the grooming room. Sapphire loves working in a vet hospital where she can provide her clients with a full-service experience.

Finance and Payroll Administrator
Crystal has a background in finance, bookkeeping, and business administration. She has experience with start-up businesses and loves setting up successful business processes. She also holds all parties accountable and makes sure everyone is paid on time.

Joseph Nanale
Facility Manager
Joseph Nanale recently moved to Canada from the Philippines, where he worked as a Registered Electrical Engineer for 13 years. His goal is to become a Professional Engineer in Canada. He brings his construction experience and positive attitude to his role as Facility Manager at Lethbridge Pet Hospital to help everything in our building run smoothly.

Colin blends compassion, creativity, and technical know-how to support both clients and systems at Lethbridge Pet Hospital. With a background in audio engineering, graphic design, and workflow optimization, he ensures smooth operations while creating emotionally safe, welcoming experiences for pet owners. Whether troubleshooting tech or offering a calming presence at the front desk, Colin brings clarity, kindness, and a deep commitment to community care.

Peanut
LPH Mascot
Peanut is our resident cat. He started his journey as a wild cat roaming around our construction site. We were finally able to catch him, give him veterinary care, and adopt him into our Lethbridge Pet Hospital family. He can usually be found exploring our staff area upstairs, trying to steal someone’s lunch, or taking a nap in the windowsill of our staff plant room.
